Michael Whyte

Michael Whyte (New York) joined KKR in 2010 and is a Managing Director on KKR's Global Private Equity team and the Chief Operating Officer of KKR Private Equity Conglomerate LLC (KPEC). His previous roles include being a member of the firm's Real Estate team, where he remains the Chief Operating Officer of KKR Real Estate Select Trust Inc. (KREST), a member of the firm's Principal Activities and Corporate Development team, where he was involved in forming the firm's KKR's Core Investments business and developing the firm's public BDC platform, along with several of the firm's most significant strategic partnerships. He initially joined KKR as a member of the firm's Private Equity team in Sydney before relocating to New York in 2014. Before his tenure at KKR, Mr. Whyte was with Credit Suisse, where he played a key role in various merger, acquisition, and financing transactions. He holds a B. in Engineering, first-class honors, and a B. in Commerce from the University of Melbourne.
