Changchun Hua (Beijing) joined KKR in 2021 and is a member of the Global Macro, Balance Sheet and Risk team, serving as the Chief Economist for Greater China. Prior to joining KKR, he was the global chief economist of GTJA Securities Research Institute, China economist at Nomura International (Hong Kong), an economist at the International Monetary Fund in the Hong Kong office, a manager at Hong Kong Monetary Authority and a researcher at Asia Development Bank Institute in Japan. He is a macroeconomic expert of the Ministry of Finance of China and a member of CF40. He specializes in public economics and finance and obtained his Ph.D. in Public Policy (Public Economics) from Hitotsubashi University of Japan, his M.A. in Economics from Renmin University of China, an M.P.P. from Hitotsubashi University of Japan, and a B.A. in Economic Management from Yanshan University in China.
